Our Services

We are able to offer a comprehensive range of Private dental services including:

Family Dental Care
We treat patients of all ages. Families are most welcome and complementary dental care is provided for the under 5's if an adult parent/carer is a patient of the practice.
Preventative Dentistry
The key to good oral health is to prevent problems happening, rather than waiting for them to occur. Our aim is to help you keep your mouth healthy.  By doing this we hope that you will need less intervention in the future. The aim of preventative dentistry is to help improve your long-term oral health. Prevention means taking positive steps to help you avoid tooth decay and gum disease, rather than waiting for problems to occur. Through modern preventative care, it is sometimes possible to reverse the very early stages of tooth decay, thereby avoiding the need for a filling. This approach means where possible, treatment is kept to a minimum. When treatment is required it will form part of your preventative care programme and your dentist will ensure that it is given the right time and will last as long as possible.
White Fillings
Everyone wants a nice smile and this includes attractive looking teeth even towards the back of the mouth.  As an alternative to amalgam fillings we can produce tooth coloured restorations, made of resin or porcelain, which are almost undetectable.  These can be placed both at the front and the back of the mouth.
Veneers & Crowns
Veneers are wafer thin layers of tooth coloured material that are ‘cemented’ to the front surface of teeth.  They provide an excellent solution to improve the cosmetic appearance of teeth that are damaged, stained or badly worn. Crowns are commonly known as ‘caps’ because they sit over your existing teeth. By restoring your old teeth, crowns preserve functionality and improve your smile.  Your crown may be required as part of dental implant or root canal treatment.
Bridges & Partial Dentures
There are two common ways to replace missing teeth. Bridges are false teeth, anchored permanently onto neighboring teeth. The false tooth is known as a pontic and is fused in between two crowns that serve as anchors by attaching to the teeth on each side of the false tooth - bridging them together. Partial Denture is a removable plate supporting with one or more false teeth. It may be plastic or a mixture of metal and plastic. Both types may have clips (clasps) to help keep the denture in place in the mouth. Dentures remain a popular way of replacing teeth and producing an aesthetically pleasing result. This still remains the treatment of choice to fill unsightly gaps where implants or bridges are not an option.
Dental Implants
At Apolline House we have been providing patients with this extremely successful method of tooth replacement since 1995.   We chose the Nobel Biocare systems of dental implants back then and still use them now as we feel that their systems (Brånemark & NobelReplace) are the best available. Dental implants are small, threaded, titanium cylinders that can be placed in the jawbone where teeth are missing, and are used to support crowns, bridges or denture. We can replace single teeth or fill gaps where many teeth have been lost, as long as there is a favourable clinical situation and enough bone depth where the implants need to be inserted. With implant treatment, rigidly fixed bridges and crowns with excellent aesthetic results are achievable.  Neighbouring teeth are not 'drilled' in any way, and implants do not decay. The presence of implants can also preserve the remaining jawbone.
Tooth Whitening
Professional Bleaching is a multi stage process performed by the patient using a custom made mouthguard. The patient is able to apply a safe yet effective gel to achieve their desired results over a period of approximately 2 weeks dependent on the wear time.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment (also called endodontics) is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury. In some case, your tooth could darken in colour which may mean that the nerve of the tooth has died (or is dying). This would need root canal treatment in order to save the tooth.
Minor Surgical Procedures
We provide a comprehensive service in most minor oral surgery procedures, including the removal of wisdom teeth, apicectomies, cyst removal, and the removal of buried roots.
Non-surgical Facial Rejuvenation
We can iron out those wrinkles, take away that frown, even lift your smile with the use of muscle ‘relaxing’ injections.  With the use of dermal fillers (Juvederm) we can smooth away lines, give volume to the skin and create a fuller lip line.  These treatments provide the perfect complement to your smile makeover.
If we cannot provide you with the care you need or want at our practice, we will probably recommend a referral to someone we know and trust. We have established links with local specialist practitioners and hospitals for Orthodontic (braces), Periodontics (gum treatment) and major Oral Surgery.
Out of Hours Dental Emergencies
We provide this service exclusively for registered patients of Apolline House Dental Practice.

Minor dental problems, such as a broken filling or tooth, or a lost crown will normally not give too much trouble and can usually wait until normal surgery hours when a dentist will be available to deal with your problem. However, if you have severe pain, swelling, bleeding or trauma, then please contact us as soon as you can. We operate an in-house emergency rota so you will be able to speak to one of our own dentists. Traumatic injuries to children’s teeth are situations where it is important to contact the dentist as soon as possible.

To access this service please call 020 8529 1422, listen carefully to the message and be prepared to write down the mobile number of the dentist on call.
